What if the move takes less or more time than estimated?

We always provide our customers with a guaranteed minimum-maximum range for every move based on the provided details. While we make every effort to offer estimates with an optimal range, unforeseen circumstances which were not previously disclosed to us or beyond our control can occasionally impact the duration of the move. In the unlikely event that your move takes longer than the estimated duration, you will be charged at the standard hourly rate provided in your quote.  Rest assured that, as long as the information you have provided about your move is accurate, the likelihood of it exceeding the estimated time is very minimal. As per agreement If the job takes less time than estimated, you will be charged for the quoted minimum.

What if I forgot to update my inventory list and there are more items on the moving date? How do additional items impact the price?

Adding additional items can impact the price of your move as it may require more time, resources, and potentially a larger truck. Our pricing is designed to reflect the scope of the move, and any additional items will be factored into the final cost. It's important to inform us of any extra items at least 24 hours beforehand so that we can readjust the estimate and guarantee a smooth moving process.This is essential for our scheduling and planning purposes, as we may not accommodate additional items that were not initially included on the list.

What are my payment options?

We accept a variety of convenient payment methods, including cash, debit/credit cards (*subject to a proc. fee) and certified cashier's checks. Please note that we do not accept personal checks.

How accurate are your moving estimates?

All moving quotes are provided based on the description of your move. The more the information about your move is accurate, the more accurate the estimates will be. We pride ourselves on providing 93% accurate estimates, however, our prices strictly rely on the inventory of items and the moving conditions on both locations that you provide us with.With 85% inventory accuracy and perfect moving conditions (considering that the truck is parked in front of your building with less than 50 ft. of walking distance to get to the apartment) we guarantee the best rates and that what we quote will be the price you will pay on your moving day!

What is Vector Mover’s cancellation/rescheduling policy?

At Vector Movers, we take planning and scheduling seriously to provide the best service to our customers. Our cancellation and rescheduling policies help us manage our calendar effectively, ensuring a smooth experience for all customers.   • Flexible Policy (discounted dates): 100% deposit refund with 72 hours' notice, no rescheduling fee with 48 hours’ notice.
  • Moderate Policy (regular dates): 100% deposit refund with at least 3 hours' notice, $100 rescheduling fee with less than 72 hours' notice.
  • Strict Policy (sub-peak, peak, and high-peak dates): The deposit is non-refundable, and each rescheduling notice is subject to a $100 fee with less than 7 days notice.

How do I book my move? Is there a deposit required?

Yes, to lock in your moving day, we do ask for a deposit. For most local moves, the deposit runs between $50-$150, depending on when you plan to move. If you're moving out of state, the deposit might vary more, depending on the volume of your move and the distance involved in your move. You can pay the deposit with your credit or debit card over the phone, or you can do it online through your account page. We include a link to that page in the email with your moving quote.

How can I get my free estimate?

They include: move date, addresses, items you would like to move, work conditions at both locations. Step 2 - Once we have all the info, our experts will carefully crunch the numbers to provide you with the most precise estimate possible that fits your needs. This will lead you to more stress as you will find out that most reliable moving companies will be booked way in advance.We recommend that you book your movers at least 2 weeks prior to your move day. The main reason why people delay reserving a moving company – is the price. The delay will never decrease the cost, in contrary, it will only increase it.

Is there a military or veterans discount available?

We take pride in honoring both active-duty military personnel and veterans with a special discount as a token of our appreciation for their service and dedication. Am I responsible for “Temporary No Parking” signs?

Yes! Easy parking access with Temporary No Parking signs ensures the smoothest moving process. It is important that you obtain and post temporary “No Parking” signs at least 3-5 days in advance so that people could not ignore them and vacant the space for our moving trucks. Usually, a medium truck requires 2-3 car parking space so that the truck could easily park in front of your building.

Will movers help me to arrange furniture in my new home?

We recommend that you plan your room setup ahead of time. Your estimate includes only one-time furniture rearrangement. Any additional rearrangement requests will require extra time and may affect your final bill.

Can you move plants?

Due to certain regulations and the delicate nature of plants, we have limited ability when it comes to moving them. However, if you are moving locally and are willing to sign a waiver that removes our liability, we will be happy to assist you in relocating your green friends. Unfortunately, we cannot move them if you are moving to another state.

Can you mount or unmount the TV?

We can only assist with unmounting the TV if there is no complex structure involved due to liability limitations. Unfortunately, we do not provide TV mounting services at this moment.

Will you disassemble and reassemble my furniture?

We provide disassembly and reassembly services for basic and standard furniture. Our movers come equipped with a standard toolkit to ensure proper disassembly. Please note that we only reassemble furniture that we originally disassembled. For complex pieces such as bunk/loft beds or armoires/closets, please consult your sales representative to confirm that they are factored into the estimate and to ensure that we are fully prepared to handle them.

How will you protect my furniture during the move?

We will wrap each piece of furniture with moving blankets to create a cushioning barrier. Additionally, we enhance this protection by securely wrapping the furniture in plastic wrap (if needed). If you have fragile and delicate furniture pieces, such as those made of glass or marble, please notify us, and we will include custom box crating in your package according to industry standards to avoid any damages.

How about unpacking?

Unpacking services are available upon request and availability. If you have any specific requirements or requests, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Do you offer packing services?

If you're busy and don't have time for packing, we can help with full or partial packing services. Let us know, and we'll provide everything needed to pack your belongings safely and securely, including boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, and more.
  • Self Packing (Economy): The most budget-friendly option: You pack all your items into boxes. To make the move as smooth as possible, please ensure everything is packed into boxes and avoid leaving loose items, as this can significantly increase the time needed for the move.
  • Partial Packing (Selective): Our movers can help pack specific rooms or areas you didn't have time for or found difficult to pack. For instance, our movers can handle just one room, if you pack the rest of your apartment. With our partial packing option, we can pack up to 15 boxes to prevent any scheduling conflicts.
  • Full Packing (Time Saver): No time to pack or prefer to save your time? Let our professional movers handle it all. With our Full-Service Packing service, we'll pack everything for you. Once you choose this option, we'll confirm the size of your move and bring all the necessary boxes and supplies. We'll take care of all the packing so you can focus on more important tasks. On the day of moving, the crew of 3, led by the AMAZING team lead Romy, arrived on time and he was thorough with what need to be picked up. The guys worked at good pace and we still had a little time to do some quick side chats. We provided them w some Gatorade and local famous Cuban lunch (hey Yelpers, please treat these guys good, they work hard to take care of your stuff!! Tips: avoid offering pizza if you can. :). These guys ate their lunch in their truck and were at the destination shortly after we arrived in our car! How they did that so quick is a mystery to me..
